Julius Schofield awarded MBE

31 December 2010 by TexSelect in Sponsors, Judges & Champions

We are delighted to congratulate Julius Schofield on being awarded an MBE in the Queen's New Year Honours List published today for services to the Fashion and Textiles Industries.  Julius' 7-year tenure as Texprint Chairman (2004-2010) has been one of the most dynamic in recent Texprint history; he has been instrumental in raising Texprint's profile and championing closer collaborations with international brands and designers.

MBE's (Member of the Order of the British Empire) have also been awarded to fashion designer Alice Temperley and shoe designer Beatrix Ong.  OBE's (Officer of the Order of the British Empire) will be presented to Professor Wendy Dagworthy, head of the School of Fashion and Textiles at the Royal College of Art, and to designer Tanya Sarne, who founded the womenswear label Ghost in 1984.
